So this Saturday folks, @ 3pm down at the RIO Theatre on Broadway. Part of the Black History in Film Festival – Festival Passes are cheap!

We’re sharing the screen with some other great films namely:

Food for Thought – Dir. Louvens Remy (Van Local)
Freestyle: The Art of Rhyme – Dir. Kevin Fitzgerald (DJ Organic)
and
Black Dynamite – Dir. Scott Sanders (A hilarious spoof on Blaxploitation)

Black History in Film Festival

Chalk it up on the calendar folks. One more screening in Van City, and again at the holiest of holies – The Rio on Broadway. The Mechanic has been accepted to screen at the Black History in Film Festival on Jan 30th, 2010. Exact screening time is TBD, but stay tuned…

2 New Festivals – Dam Shorts and Vancouver Island

Great news all, The Mechanic has been accepted into 2 new festivals this week!

1st up is The Vancouver Island Short Film Festival. Taking place in Nanaimo, BC the film screens Feb 12 or 13th. The Mechanic is one of only 13 films, so there are high hopes for some brass! Come check it out if you can, the exact date will be announced shortly, so check the screening section in a few days for updates.

 

2nd is the Dam Short Film Festival in Boulder City, Nevada on February 13th. Happening the same weekend as VISFF, we’re screening in the category, Drama I: Amusing Associates.
**Interesting Fact** This will be The Mechanic‘s 2nd Nevada Screening.

15 min of Fame

The Mechanic will show at the 15 Min of Fame Film Festival on Friday, January 5th. Our first 2010 screening! See screening section for details, and if you’re in Palm Bay, Florida – first off we’re hugely jealous, and secondly – go see the film!
